Key Stage 4:

We follow the CCEA GCSE specification.

Unit One (Year 11)

This unit is worth 60% of the total marks for the course. We study Germany under the Nazi dictatorship, from 1933 to 1945, followed by Northern Ireland and its neighbours from 1920 to 1949.

Unit Two (Year 12)

This unit is worth 40% of the total marks for the course. We study International Relations from 1945 to 2003, looking at the causes and consequences of the Cold War, analysing a number of flashpoints during this period. We also explore the emergence of new tensions in the world during the period from 1991 to 2003.
